Striving for balance in your life is never ending, especially
when you’re a mom.  You’re always on the go taking care of
the kids, house, dinner and work. I was recently asked for
tips on how moms juggle work, raising kids and life all
while maintaining a healthy diet. In order to continue to care
for your family, you have to care for yourself first.  This is
going to require a little more work on your part, but the result
is life changing and very much worth it.

Camp T.A.L.K. is an inclusive social skills day camp for children ages 10 and up. Their focus
is on students who have a diagnosis of Asperger's Autism or PDD-NOS. They work on
practicing social skills and building friendships in a highly supervised, safe setting that
includes field trips, team building games, guest speakers, music and movement. Camp
T.A.L.K. will be held at Willow Ridge Church for the summer of 2012.
We've talked about some of the amazing things Art
Smart Academy has to offer, but did you know they
also have Birthday Parties and Summer Camps?

They are also offering Lexington Mommy readers
another AMAZING deal!!

I have a confession to make. Until last
week, I had never been to Monkey Joe's. I
imagined a scene from a movie with
massive packs of screaming children,
snot, chaos and migraines. I had
absolutely no desire to go. We have a
trampoline in the back yard, and that's all
the jumping my kids need. So when
Monkey Joe's invited me to come give it a
try, I was slightly reluctant. Then a friend
called and invited me to join her and
another friend (and kidlets) one morning.
I figured it was a sign that I needed to
suck it up and go.

One of our most popular posts ever.
Read it last year? Read it again. Everyone needs a reminder.
Take A Moment ...
It's a three day weekend. It's the unofficial start of summer. It's time to grill.
But the most important thing is it is Memorial Day. Take a moment to explain
the true meaning to your kids. Many paid the ultimate price for our country.
